FRIENDS DINNER – Celebrating Contemporary Performance May 20, 2017
Saturday at 7pm-10pm
The Light Box at Goldman Warehouse | 404 NW 26th Street | Wynwood
Miami Light Project’s Friends Dinner is not to be missed! Annually, we gather together with Friends to celebrate the work of Miami Light Project while raising funds that offer direct support for our artistic programs and outreach activities. Great food and drink combined with surprise guest artists and outrageous performances – mark your calendar now for Dinner With Friends.
This year’s celebration will include a stunning performance by Maya Beiser, a boundary-crossing Israeli-born rock star cellist, who lives in New York City. An internationally renowned artist, Maya has worked alongside everyone from Bang On A Can All-Stars, to Brian Eno, to Phillip Glass, and Trent Reznor of Nine Inch Nails. The New Yorker magazine describes her as a “cello goddess” and the San Francisco Chronicle named her “the queen of contemporary cello”
