Teo Castellanos – Third Trinity

Directed by Tarell Alvin McCraney

OCTOBER 10-11, 13 and 16-18, 2014
8:00 P.M.

Miami Light Project presents the world premiere of its latest commission by Edinburgh Fringe First award-winning actor, director, and playwright, Teo Castellanos! Third Trinity, written and performed by Teo Castellanos, with direction and dramaturgy by 2013 MacArthur Genius Fellow, Tarell Alvin McCraney, is based on the real events of Teo Castellanos’ early life. Third Trinity tells a unique story of Puerto Rican Nationalism, the Drug wars of the late 1980s and the timeless tale of brotherhood. Three young boys – one dark, one light, one clearly “an artist” – all three decidedly Puerto Rican begin an uncanny journey into drug cartels, federal prison, political dissonance, and the theater.
