| Miami Light Project & Goldman Properties Awarded $400,000 Knight Foundation Grant! |

We are thrilled to announce the creation of an innovative shared performance and office space in Wynwood: The Light Box at Goldman Warehouse. Together with visionary developer, Tony Goldman and Goldman Properties, Miami Light Project has been awarded a three year, $400,000 grant from the John S. & James L. Knight Foundation's 2009 Knight Arts Challenge, a $40 million initiative to bring South Florida together through the arts. The Light Box at Goldman Warehouse will open in January 2011 and will house offices for multiple cultural organizations; a flexible studio performance space, a rehearsal studio, an art gallery, and a lounge/café with access to a shared resource library. This new space will be a catalyst for creative growth and cultural development in Wynwood by offering year round artistic programs and shared administrative costs for several of Miami's most exciting arts organizations.
